WCAG accessibility — a legal requirement and a bigger market

The European Accessibility Act (EAA) has applied since June 2025 and covers more and more digital services. We deliver WCAG 2.1 AA audits and implementation: keyboard navigation, correct ARIA, contrast and screen readers. Accessibility is not just compliance — it means more customers and better SEO.

WCAG / EAA accessibility — implementation by DTL Digital

Why now

Since 2025 the European Accessibility Act (EAA) has required accessibility from e-commerce, banking and digital services, among others. Non-compliance is a legal and reputational risk. And on top of that: millions of people with disabilities in Poland are real customers who today are often excluded.

What we do

Audit + implementation

  • A WCAG 2.1 AA audit with a list of issues and priorities
  • Full keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, Esc) — no mouse needed
  • Semantic HTML and ARIA — the screen reader guides users like a tour guide
  • Contrast and legibility compliant with the standard
  • Compliance documentation (accessibility statement)

Accessibility = an advantage, not a cost

  • A bigger market — you reach customers excluded by your competitors
  • Better SEO — semantics and structure help search engines too
  • Higher usability for everyone, not only people with disabilities

Najczęstsze pytania

What are WCAG and the European Accessibility Act?

WCAG is the international standard for web content accessibility (levels A, AA, AAA). The European Accessibility Act (EAA) is EU law in force since June 2025 that requires accessibility from many digital services — in practice the WCAG 2.1 AA level.

Who is subject to the accessibility obligation?

An ever-wider group: e-commerce, banking, transport, e-services and public institutions. Even if it does not formally apply to you, accessibility increases reach and quality — which is why it is worth implementing proactively.

How long does an accessibility audit take?

The audit itself, with a report, usually takes from several to a dozen or so days, depending on the size of the site. We plan the fixes in stages, starting with the critical barriers that block users the most.

Check whether your website is EAA compliant

We’ll run a WCAG audit and show you what to fix — before an inspection or a competitor does it for you.
